You can not lie on any application. You can join a lot of clubs and put it on your college application to make it good. However, your acceptance to college is depends mostly on your score you gain on different subject matter.

Yes, you can lie -- but really, the main thing is your grades. No teacher recommendations; SAT scores aren't required. Your marks are the main thing they look at.

But you know, you ought to have someone check the spelling on your application, because that seems to be a problem area for you.

Yeah, sure you can lie. You can do anything.

It's the consequences you might want to consider. If you get caught, EVERYTHING meaning all that you have worked for in the whole four years, will go down the drain.

And i mean seriously down the drain. Schools in the upper calibre will want nothing to do with your applications.

Just take note of that before lying.

Write what they want to hear but be consistent. I learned this the hard way. I was too honest in my police application and told them something I shouldn't have and now I am banned for life of becoming a police officer. One of my friend who lied and stayed consistent became a police officer and now he is a detective. The old adage of nice and honest guys finish last is absolutely correct.

Honestly, as nice as it would be to embellish a college application, what are you gaining from it? A college should recognize you on the merits that you earned and if you want to embellish on something, embellish on something that you actually participated in. Honesty is the best policy!
