No, i do not think that dogs or any other animals get married. Marriage is a social contract, and since animals do not function in a society, they cannot get married.

marriage is between two humans. animals such as wolves and other have a mate for life, which is like marriage for animals. but they don't go through the whole dress and vows thing.
no, I don't think you are a sick and demented person. I think this is a good clarification
oh and by the way, it is illegal to marry an animal.

I think my neighbors male dog married a male cat. I always thought there was something wrong with them when they started dating but I didn't say anything. I didn't want to tick off any gays. Too bad that dog and cat can't have some pup-kittens. They make such a cute couple.

Are you saying you want to marry your dog?! And please tell me you are not having some sort of intimate relationship with this dog? However, to answer your question, I don't think that is legal. If you are really serious and this is not some sort of joke, yes it is demented to want to marry your dog. Please seek professional help.

Marriage is a holy sacrament.
The Catholic Church believes that God himself is the author of marriage and has created it for one man and one woman.
The spouses of a valid marriage:
• Create a bond, which by its very nature is perpetual and exclusive.
• Are strengthened and consecrated for the duties and the dignity of their state.
• Are sealed by God himself in their consent to mutually give and receive one another.
• Form a covenant that is integrated into God's covenant with man: "Authentic married love is caught up into divine love."
• Have their own special grace that:
• Perfects the couple's love.
• Strengthens their unity.
• Helps one another to attain holiness in their married life.
• Helps in welcoming and educating their children.
I cannot judge your mental health.
With love in Christ.

It might be a good idea to discuss this with your mom. I'm pretty sure she has crossed that bridge at least once in her life.
....and you wonder why the fine folks at Yahoo! censor you.
