There are a wide range of specialties here. You can specialize in analytical chemistry, or in materials and chemical synthesis. For both you need a BS degree in a science. For analytical chemistry you also need to have taken two courses in physical chemistry, two in organic chemistry and one in analytical chemistry. Tuition is $727 per credit.

You need to demonstrate undergraduate proficiency in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. Tuition is $630 per credit hour. I know that this program has been around for some time.

Polytechnic University (in New York) does not offer a distance master's degree in chemistry, but they do offer graduate applied chemistry courses on line.
