Believe it or not, when a structural engineer calculates the strength of a beam or post, he has to know the beam's moment of inertia. There are formulas he usually can use to find the moment of inertia for the beam's cross-section. Otherwise, it's a litlte bit of a calculus hassle for him to figure it out.

But if you want an easy and spectacular example, Ferris wheel engineers have to know the Ferris wheel's moment of inertia to figure out how much force it takes to rotate it, accelerating it up to a specified rotational speed.

ye of course,
one of them is removing dust from blanket.and one of the extreme application is in the stunt by the bikers, in this a biker moves with a very speed and then apply the disc brakes and due to inertia raer wheels get up in the air.

I think it is a good way to challenge the way evolutionists think about biology. Keeps them on their toes. Don't allow a blanket blind faith in evolution without any other groups challenging you. No monopoly on where life came from. Think of capitalism and you have two groups that make similar types of products competing with each other. Competetion is good for the consumer with cheaper prices and more quality. Similarly with evolutions and creationists at odds with each other it will keep them both sharp, careful in their statements and research, and coherent.
