It is French for 'to God'. It is what the French say when parting company, just as we say 'Goodbye' which is a corruption of 'God be with ye'.
The Spanish say 'via con Dios' which means 'go with God'.

It means "Go with God" just like Adios in Spanish and (Believe it or not) Good-Bye as well which means "Abide with God"

A-Dieu with God, A-Dios with God, Good (God) bide (Abide)
