You can rule out reflections for two reasons. Planets are spheres so reflections from them would go in all directions, not focus on a single spot. The spots are dark so they are cold and any reflection would produce hot(light) spots. In general any effect planets would have on the sun would not focus on a single spot.
Scientist were puzzled by them for hundreds of years but now know that the spots are causes by disturbances in the Sun's magnetic field.

Astrophysicists have shown that sunspots are cooler regions on the sun caused by knots of magnetism. They are NOT reflections or shadows of planets.
