This is definitely an infection. It will not go away without medication, in fact, it will probably get worse. You need to see an OBGYN. If you don't have one, go to your local Planned Parenthood or women's clinic. They will squeeze you in if your symptoms are severe.

Don't be scared of going to a doctor. Be scared if what will happen if you don't.

this does sound like a bladder infection and due to the bacteria you might also have an yeast infection both easily treatable but you have to go to the doctor because it's only going to be more painful here on out the reason your period might be late is because you might be hormonally unbalanced causing all of this to happen don't be scared just go to the doc and in about three days you'll be feeling fine but take all of the meds he/she gives you because it will only come back if you don't take care OK. also try using a better soap for that areas(summers eves) and if your having sex pee right after wards this will help this from happening again

Anytime your body is out of balance your period can be late. So while that is definitely a symptom to mention, it is not as important as the other ones. It sounds like some type of infection and you won't know what until you get it checked out. The sooner you go, the sooner you can get some relief.
Also, while cranberry juice is good for warding off infections like yeast and bladder, you should not have it in your system while you are taking medication as it can be very dangerous. And since it is very likely that you will be given some type of antibiotics, I would hold off on the juice until after this episode is over.
But don't freak out until you get it checked out. These type of infections are common and as long as you get proper treatment you shouldn't have anything to worry about. But you Must get treated, so go as soon as you can. If it is not treated then you will have something to worry about.

It sounds like a urinary tract infection or bladder infection. The sooner you get to urgent care, the better because it will only get worse.
As for your period you can skip for a million and one reasons, even if you've always been regular. I was like you could set your watch by me for years and then I started to miss once in a while. Happens to a lot of girls. The infection is what you should be concerned about. Like someone else said, let's hope your period
doesn't come until this is dealt with.

Sounds like a bladder infection. Dont panic... There are all sorts of medicine a doctor can prescribe to help. Your period being late is normal, change in your hormones, Get on some meds to hep with the infection and hope that you dont get your period in the next week so you dont have two things to worry about:) Good luck!

You might want to start with drinking lots of water, take a couple Advil, and use some of that cream for yeast infections to help with the itchiness until you see a doctor. Your periods is probably late because of the infection, stress,or it could just a skip a month. Girls are always skipping a month of two,its normal. But do see a doctor soon to get the right kind of treatment you need.

FIrst, don't be scared, as I read many of the other answers, quite a few said similar things, that I would say also. Also, herpes virus can cause terrible itching, and it does not have any physical effects in over 70 % of the men that carry it back and forth so I hear. WE get all the fun.. yeah, right!! There is a cream they can prescribe that will help the itching immediately for that, and also one for itching for any ot the other reasons you mentioned also. But all must be prescribed except vagisil.. its at local drugstore.. helps itching, not healin or cause.
I was having a thing start where every time after sex, it seemed the next day I was having symptoms of a bladder infection. Ive had them off an on over the years, Im 49, lol. Went to my dr, she told me that sex many times will push against the walls of the uterus and cause the bacteria to start up... (laymen's terms here...) but anyway, she gave me a prescription for a long acting antibiotic, and said take one the morning after each time, and usually it will help prevent it all. Sometimes I have to take 2 days, sometimes not at all. But-- all in all, anything is possible, and though it is probably one of the things you listed or the gals that answered, PLEASE tell your dr right away your symptoms and that you need to be seen sooner rather than later, as it can get much harder to treat and more painful, get insistant if they blow you off and say his appt isnt until next week. If not, then go to the emerg. care, although I would not worry about the period for all the reasons the other gals wrote, our hormones can be out of whack with no reason, and this is a decent reason for them to be.. even just the stress can do it. WAIT to worry about that one. I think it will straighten itself out. Cranberry juice helps alleveiate some discomfort with some women temporarity,(didnt me) but it wont heal it. Lots of water, I know it may burn, but needs to be flushed out. There is vagisil available over the counter to help the itch immediately until you get treated. Whatever you do, be sure to ask the dr. if it is something that you can pass back and forth, as HE will have to be treated as well... it can be a prescription for you both he wont have to be seen. But clear you both up, if needed. at least ask.
ARe you aware that yeast infections can be caused by several things too? if you were recently on an antibiotiic, many cause yeast infections. Cold/flue season, there is a chance you might have been on one. Things like too tight of jeans even can cause yeast infections. So many things can, its ridiculous. Hopefully thats all it is, there is a great one pill treat ment called Diflucan, you take it once, its like magic, and yeast inf. is gone, no messy insertions. But it is a prescription. only your dr can tell you which thing you are having, so get there fast, as it will only make you more uncomfortable, but in the meantime, that vagisil otc worked alot for me, got me through the night anyway. you can get at any drugstore. stops the itching. wont treat whatever is wrong. Hang in there and dont be afraid, hun, this happens at some time to most of us as another lady said. Take care and let us know how youre doing. hugs...

Dont worry, it is common, it could be bladder, urine infection, nothing out of the realm.. just see the doc as soon as possible and take care of it!.. sometimes douching can cause it, or not drinking enough water, or sometimes it just happens... To releave the itch for now, try putting something cool like yogurt out of the fridge, and not all the way in, just you know enough to where it can cool it down. Also sitz cool bath, and try to avoid scratching.. you can cause minor open abrasions that can welcome infections. So keep it cool.. and go to the pharmacy if anything and ask the pharmacist what is good over the counter.. for now. Just take care of it, it's nothing weird, or nothing to be embarrassed about.. it's normal.

With the symptoms you explained it could be a bladder infection. Definetly get to the Urgent Care. One thing you can do in the mean time is drink lots of cranberry juice.

You had just answered my question regarding the HPV shot that your doctor gave you today. In that article they had said that people are having strange side effects because the live cervical cancer vaccine has not been proven to be effective and has not been tested enough to get real approval. This push was all paid for by Merck to even the governor of Texas to pass the ruling as NOT MANDATORY, but recommended. He knew FULL WELL in advance this vaccine has not been tested enough.

People who are getting it are having some severe reactions. Please go back and read the article, then get back to your doctor a.s.a.p.

I actually came in here two weeks ago and told people not to get an untested vaccine that it would be a great risk, and they thought I was crazy and I got some really lousy answers. So, I pulled the question. I would never say things to hurt people, only to help. Now please, go back to the hyperlink and read that article for your own good....okay? I'll say some prayers for you.

Go to urgent care tonight and put out the fire. It may be a bladder infection - drink lots of cranberry juice. If it isn't a bladder infection, at least you'll be hydrated.
