I don't know who larry the cable guy is. I saw a petsmart store today and was just wondering.

on the website PET and SMART are written in two different colors

I've never really cared about the name- but isn't it a great place. I get that feeling that makes you feel all warm and special inside- and pure. It's sort of the feeling like when you walk into church. And the smell. I love the smell of that place. Sounds weird- but next time you go into PETSMART- just take a moment and smell.

Other than that- I think they intended for the name to mean two things. I think they wanted people to know that it was a place to buy pet supplies- PETS MART and the other a place to become educated about your animal- PET SMART.

The correct way is Petsmart...one word that is suppsed to have two words that flow into one like catnap :) If you split it the correct way is Pet Smart.

It's a MART for PETS therefore it is Pets Mart..Like WAL-MART..lol
