I grew up mostly in the 80's and 90's. My favorite thing to do was go to the mall w/ my friends. Fav movies were Dirty Dancing, Reality Bites. I remember OJ Simpson car chase, Jackie Onasis passed away. President Clinton. We just started to realize the wars going on in the middle eastern countires. What has changed the most since then.....9/11.

I grew up in the 1980's.. I dressed pretty cool for the time as a little girl would.. I had alot of the T Shirts that had Iron- Ons that u did yourself.Like My Lil' Pony, Care Bears,Strawberry Shortcake,The Smurfs,Rainbow Brite ,E.T. Was the Best Movie... We used to have games of good clean fun back then ..these kids today( mine included) have no clue how to have good old fashioned fun,We played Blind Man's Bluff,Hide and Seek,Mother May I,Hopscotch,Rode our Big Wheels,or Green Machines,Played ATARI games , I had a game called Merlin it was an Electronic Game ,Played with Rubiks Cubes...My Favorite Food was The Smurfs Breakfast Cereal ( from the cartoon)...I watched The Smurfs,Dr Who,The Littles ( a cartoon). The Jeffersons,Threes Company,Nell, Different Strokes .. The Space shuttle was going up and it blew up 7 astronauts died all on board, we watched in horror at school in 3 rd grade assembly... The Whole world had gotten to technical and too fast now a days not too many kids today could ever imagine Life without a Microwave ,a Remote Control for TV, Stereo ,other appliances..House phones with One line only (no two way calling or three way no caller ID) Heck we had PayPhones every where you turned around hence there was No Reason you couldnt call home and tell your parents where you were.. and it only cost 15 cents to use a pay phone now they are almost Obselete, computers ,cell phones ,unbelievable where this world is going today ... Dont get me wrong I like some of the modern technology the world has to offer but the old american family has gone down the drain because of alot of it ...No family time peope rude in stores/resteraunts on the cell phone ect driving road rage with cell phones sexual predators on the rise with kids using the internet ect... I miss the good wholesome TV shows and music and people of that time era... and I think our young people of today have no values for how easy they really have it as opposed to when I grew up I am sure other people can say the same from the 70's 60's ect.Want to reheat your Pizza? or Mac N cheese?? Turn the Oven on wait about 1/2 hour ..Add some milk in a pan to the Mac N cheese..Reheat ...Not to mention all the Conviences the grocery store offers with Frozen meals when i was a kid there were like 3 brands of TV DINNERS

Youch! Just when I was going to go to bed!
ok...deep breath and begin talking....
60's and 70's
Much to my fathers chagrin, (he was a city cop) I wore long skirts, and campaigned hard to get my "granny glasses". I smoked banana peels one time with a bunch of wonderful friends because pot was too expensive...all we got was very sick! So we wisely stuck to pot.
Since our mom was a stay home mom, and an excellent cook, we actually thought that getting TV dinners sometimes was a real treat! And Jiffy Pop popcorn!
I loved Gilligan's Island and I Love Lucy.
We didn't have "intruder Alerts" at school, but we had earthquake drills...in Oregon?! I don't remember John Kennedy being assassassinated, but I remember my parents being tearful about it. I do remember when Robert Kennedy was assinated because my mother came upstairs crying so hard and I was so afraid that she was going to tell me that my Dad had been killed at work, and then feeling guilty because I was so relieved that it was Robert Kennedy instead of my Dad.
I think what has change the most is technology, when you think that just barely over a hundred years ago we were just learning to fly, and baby look at us now!
I had a remarkably wonderfully idealistic childhood and didn't even know it until I grew up and found out just how many people can't stand their families...I was horrified!
I have actually changed little. Life is still as good as it was then, if you want it to be.

That is some interesting question and congrats for the same.
I grew up in 80"s in India.
Dressing has not changed much.
I used to wander around in the colony in peak summer in scorching sun.
I liked some kind of Candy that is not available now.
No cable connections were there and only National Channel with 1 movie a week policy. Nothing much to see.
The world was stable with some cold war between USA and USSR. It didnot affect me directly.
People have become more busy, They become self centered.
Cable TV, Internet, mobile phones, DVD'd, Free economy, liberisation, globalisation, Air Travel, Personal conveyances, Public Transport sysytems, Over bridges........ so much has changed. That was a different era in India.

I grew up in the 80's when we used words like "yuppie" to describe rich people who drove BMWs...My favorite movie from the 80's would have to be St. Elmos Fire. Regan was President and I wore leg warmers and oversized sweatshirts. ..How have I changed? I learned some fashion sense!! lol.......Nothing much has changed, There is still bigotry, racism, ou r waters are still being polluted, and last but not least..There is a Republican in the House seat.

Good grief. Too many questions. We wore bell bottoms, loved Chinese fire drills, can't think of a food i liked that has been discontinued. Favorite movie was hmmmm The other side of the Mountain. I liked watching Emergency, Bewitched. Don't really think it affected me except that I still wish I could clean my room by wiggling my chin. TV has changed dramatically. We had 3 channels, antennas and no remote controls. How have I changed? I quit watching TV because it sickens me the garbage they put on now.

Grew up in the 60's and 70's
Went to Catholic schools where I wore saddle shoes, against uniform policy
Braided my hair, then brushed it out into a long, wavy cloud, wore bell bottoms when they first came out, men's military pea jackets, long rabbit coats, sandals in the NY winters
Carrol's hamburgers
Love Story, Shaft, Superfly
Ed Sullivan
Vietnam War, had friends who were drafted, some died, others went to Canada
Electronic gadgets(computers, DVD, cell phones), people live longer but have more health problems
Changed...gotten older, gotten wiser, gotten more like my parents, yes it does happen

70's early 80's
There is a great song by Mark Wills called "19 Something" that pretty much sums up the era that I grew up in.

OK, in order.
Late 80s, early 90s.
Black shirts and blue jeans, same as now.
The statute of limitations laws prevent me from discussing them;)
The McDLT.
Jurassic Park.
Northern Exposure.
The fall of the Berlin Wall.
We were filled with a sudden optimism...
...only to find that the world still had enemies, they were just harder to spot.
I'm smarter now, but not as nice. I don't know why.
The transition from hair metal to grunge was nearly complete.
