I have visited about 40 countries, and Malaysia is at the top of the places I really have enjoyed staying in. I would recommend Malaysia as a pleasant tourist destination any time. Many people like it here that much that they even make it their retirement home.

1) I am surprised to read a recent Newsweek article about the increasing shift towards extremism among Muslims in Malaysia.
2) I think there is a fair amount of racial discrimination in Malaysia.
3) The increasing crime rate is worrisome and it is affecting tourism in Malaysia.
4) For the most part, Malaysians tend to be hardworking, honest people.

Sabah and Sarawak on Borneo also belong to Malaysia, though historically, geographically and culturally it is completely different, adding to Malaysia's multi-cultural and multi-racial patchwork. Great country and on Borneo nothing to worry about, Walnutm...

Its a nice place for holiday. I went there for quite a few times. Which area are you intending to go? I went to KL, Muar, JB for shopping and tour before. I went Redang Island for snookling. It was Great! Have you deicded on the area that you are going?

Oh yeah Shah, Malaysia is great with lots of snatcher and the police force, very corrupt. KL memang canti sebap banyak orang snatcher and polis is memang corrupt. I need to speak with you Shah, I need to learn more BM. Oh yeah, speak out, I don't understand your *s.

beautiful and wonderful country, many culture to offer, just like you go 3 to 4 country by visiting one country. many choices of food, Chinese, Malay, Indian, eastern ,western .... you name it.
many places to offer caves, beach, mountains and-etc...
