Wouldn't that be a pretty good indication that he was trying to hide
the truth about why Plames' CIA status was released to the press?
Who would perjur himself for no reason? What other reason would he have to lie?

Yes, if Libby is found guilty, it will open up a larger inquiry into whether the administration was deliberately trying to cover up proof of the NON-existence of WMD's, even as they used WMD's as a convincing argument to take us to War. Testimony is looking particularly bad for Cheney.

He should have taken Hilary's stance. I don't remember anything. I don't even remember working for the Rose law firm. What billing records? What cattle futures? I'm sorry, I don't recall. Vince who? Their plane crashed? I don't remember. I never said anything about that. I don't recall.
But, since he tried to testify about something that was not a crime (Plame was not a covert agent), he did, in fact, purger himself. I hope he gets a stiff penalty, just like Bill. Oh, that's right, he remained President. Oh well.
