Because the poop is all liquidy not gravelly so wheres it go??

They eat gravel to digest their food. It is kept in their gizzard. Food is sent to the gizzard where the gravel helps break it down. They don't have teeth to do this part for them.

I know they eat the gravel to help with digestion (it helps grind up the food), but as for where it goes, that is a very good question. Perhaps it is very slowly degraded by digestive enzymes over time and thats why they occasionally eat more.

They don't eat gravel all that often.
And when they do, they dump it out.
