He's probably a Sikh. His surname is probably Singh. He comes from India or his parents do. He is not Muslim but belongs to a monotheistic sect derived from both Islam and Hinduism based in the Indian city of Amritsah (spelling may not be quite correct). Sikhs are about the only people who wear turbans these days.

I am not that all bothered because after 9/11 i think we have much tighter security measures for Every1 who is Flying,I actually was on a non stop flight from Ohio to California not too long ago and I was seated next to a middle eastern man with a turban he was in the window seat and I was next to him in the aisle seat and when lunch came around he asked me if I wanted his steak burger because he dont eat meat , Then he fell asleep and when the stewardess came around for the second time for beverages I went ahead and ordered him another Coke because I figured it was least I could do as he gave me his sandwich and I figured we had a couple more hours into flight since he was asleep he may be thirsty when he woke up.. i am not scared to fly or to die if it is my time in any way shape or form

There are woman that have worn those things since silent movies with Gloria Swanson so it does not phase me, unless they are scruffy looking and unclean. Then I try to keep my distance no more or no less than a dirty person with a baseball cap on? eh?
However many east Indians who I know and love wear those and they don't present a problem. However if I was at the airport as you asked I would be very aware that most terrorists would not be that stupid as to wear that common wardrobe to be spotted if they were going to commit a criminal offense. So c'sara sara

The first thing I see is someone wearing a turban on their head.

That they must be from a place where turbans are normal, like India.
OR that they rushed to the airport shortly after washing their hair...

Now, when I see someone in a burka (sp?), I get a little apprehensive...

Run in the complete opposite direction. Just kidding, I secretly hope he/she isn't on my plane, but I don't get nervous unless they act suspicious, and when I do see someone with a turban I usually see family at the same time. So yeah, no worries really.

I think, why does this person have an engine on their head? Seriously though, I think of turbans as East Indian, not Arab.

The first thing I think of is I hope they are not on my flight and sitting next to me. The people in the US that usually wear turbans are from India and they cook with Curry and usually smell like it. I don't like the smell. The people are usually nice though. IF you talk to them they will usually tell you there is a problem with Muslims in India also.

Honestly? I wonder if he's from India. I had a huge crush on Hadji from the old Johnny Quest cartoons, as a kid.
