It's the new millenium... If he's your best friend, the fact he's male and a homosexual shouldn't make any difference to whether or not he should throw you a baby shower. Your alterative is to have someone else do it for you, and feel bad that he's not there, he didn't get to throw it for you, and that he's being excluded.
Besides... I bet the party's going to be an absolute BLAST!! Relax... stop worrying about it and just let him have his fun.. If come of the party goers don't "get it"... that's their problem!

Tell him to go for it, it will be the most fun baby shower I reckon, he is trying to do the right thing, its the person that counts. Good on him! You dont say much about your best friend - just - and my best friend? where does he or she come into it, who cares, just have a great fun time, sounds like the baby is going to have fun too when its born! Life is for living, go for it, toooooooooo many borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring people out there! From a 53 year old mum down under! (Australia) The land of Priscilla Queen of the Desert!

I don't think it should be a problem. I feel your best friend should be the one to throw a baby shower, it doesn't matter male or female, homosexual or heterosexual.
Besides, I bet he'll throw one kick *** baby shower!!

I initially thought that your question read, "is it acceptable to throw a homosexual baby in the shower with my best friend".

I for one, have never understood why men aren't invited to baby showers. Homosexual, straight, transgender, who cares. If he wants to throw you ababy shower, let him. If he decides to let someone else throw the shower, don't forget to ensure that he is invited. He is your friend and showers are not about sexuality, but about friends celebrating another friend's impending delivery.

I think it is fine, even if he wasn't homosexual. I personally have more guy friend so I think that whenever I get married or pregnant there will be men present and maybe one giving shower.

ok...look at it this way...where it may be more "traditional" to have a woman do the baby shower...this is a different age...
so if they could throw you any kind of party...why not a baby shower?
