If you were North Korean faced with the potential takeover of your country by a country like the United States, would you give up your only chance to keep the US off your back? I hope not, because if they took their eyes off of the US for one minute, we would be on their doorstep declaring that they attacked one of our ships or some oddity like that. I don't think disarming by the North Koreans would make any sense to them, they are not stupid. The y just want free trade and to be left alone by the United States.

Well, youve shown no proof whatsoever other than your feeble statement about GHWB, Sr. Bush to you. So put your money where your mouth is skippy! How ya figure north korea had the means to make a bomb before Clinton? Clinton gave nuclear technology and food to North korea for supposed power (Electricity Skippy) And with the hope of keeping the lil north koreans quiet because they like to rattle there sabres. Well Skippy, the sabre they have now, is a real one. Thanks Bill, you ole sport you! Well you offered up nothing to show Bush 1 did either, the statements ive made where a treaty between USA, South Korea, and japan, if your too stupid to look it up, then someone should take your computer away. Do us all a favor, get fixed so you can't breed, enough stupid people in the world already, you just make it crowded!

Yes, North Korea has a few nuclear weapons. I doubt any amount of bargaining or negotiating will get them to give them up. They are too valuable to their national security.
Will they continue to develop and improve their nuclear weapons in return for aid and security guarantees? Yes, I think they are serious about that. Their economy is weak, and they know they need help. They have good reason to fear the United States, China, Japan, and South Korea; their fears are not totally irrational.
As to the fate of the current regime--don't expect to see any changes for twenty or more years. However, honest brokering by the six parties involved in the talks can make them much less of an outlaw state, and we can all live with that.

How do you say "Suckers!" in Korean?
We'll know for sure about Pyongyang when we see the mushroom cloud.
USA will never invade North Korea like we did Iraq, why? 1) NK actually has got the goods. 2) NK doesn't have any resources we can exploit.

No... NOrth Korea's leader is a nutcase. He will continue to toy with the minds of the world's leaders and he will continue to starve his own people. He is out of touch with reality.

We should send in Rambo (or one of the other warmonger idiots on YA) and extract Kim from his secret bunker, take him to Washington, and let Cheney torture him just for fun.
