being in a basement alone doesn't have to be all that bad if there's other stuff in the basement to do like listen to music, watch tv, or answer questions on yahoo!answers...
if it's a dark, cold, cruddy, basement with no windows, and spiders, and creepy noises then i'll take the sexy woman in the closet. at least then she and I can discuss why we're hanging out in a closet and what we're going to do to find some fun because obviously we're just plain bored if we have time to be sitting around in closets
