Because China is siding with the US on this one. China cut off major fuel supply to North Korea after the nuke test. If they lose China's economic support they're screwed. So they have no choice if they wish to keep that China's economic aid.

Because N. Korea has no economy. They use all there money on military and nothing on anything else.
Theyve been using there military build as 'playing cards' when dealing with other countries.
What i mean is, they want aid and the only thing they have to offer is disarming nukes.
Basically there saying, and always have said, "If you help us well be nice, if you dont were going to continue to build our military until you are willing to help us"

maybe because Kim Jung Il is pressured by the will of its people and also by the warlords..to keep going on the path of destruction where people there are already paralyze by the poor condition..its just not right.
By disarming the nukes,N.Korea will get the aid they'll need from the world bodies and China will continue their support on N.korea economy aid.No one wants to die for nothing right?

Another step in their long political games. They have at other times done this and then after awhile they revert back to hardliners being uncooperative.
