Can my I.U.D. (its a form of birth control) be taking away my sex drive? I also am really late on my period but test negitive. Oh Ive had it in for 6 months.

yep it's fulla hormones..when you mess with hormones, they mess with you..

One of the side effects of the I.U.D is "mood changes." This could, in fact, be directly related to your lack of sex drive. I'm not sure about your late period...that could be a few things. Talk to your OBGYN.

try getting a new one. you shouldn't use the same one that long.
