We are going to have our honeymoon on May, and we cannot deside between Barcelona or Amsterdam. We would like a place with things to do and see outside, not interested so much in museums ect. Both places are great choices for a honeymoon if you want lively cities. Amsterdam is well known for its red light district with many adult shops, etc, the people are friendly, and it is an easy city to traverse. There are canal rides and tours of some of the more ahem interesting parts of the city. However, Barcelona is probably better if you guys are wanting to hang around the beach at all. I would imagine both cities would have great nightlife.

I've been to both places. I went to Barcelona with my best friend and to Amsterdam right after my wedding- just for a day. The museums in Amsterdam are shockingly interesting.... unlike anywhere else, I tell ya! There was one all about S_E_X. Absolutely shocking! We went in out of curiosity. I couldn't sleep afterwards.

go to barcelona,plenty nice things to do there a perfect place and in may the weather is fantastic. while in amsterdam ,the weather is
a risk. barcelona is the place for young people.

alot more drugs in amsterdam. legal too. i dont know about lively places, rythem or the coffee. but i'll bet you see alot of happy faces.
