The compassionate last embrace of death,
Doth steal away mine final breath,
And the shadow doth dim mine eyes,
As I say my last goodbyes.
In the final echo of a failing heart,
I lift up, to the light, and here depart.

If this is a homework assignment, I fear that my poem will get you little more than a trip to the counselors office for fear that you might be suicidal.

How compassionate is the stranger
Who was willing to help his fellow man
The shadow of death hangs o'er him like a shadow
His heart slows as he takes his last breath
Grateful to the stranger
For he did not die alone
