Where in the U.S. is the best job growth? quality of life?

I can go anywhere in the country at this point in my life. Where is the best job growth, not too high cost of living, quality of life in general and why is it the best?

The Washington, DC suburbs in Northern Virginia. The cost of living is fairly high (mostly housing) but an apartment for a single is not too bad. The job market here is fantastic and good jobs abound. There are also many cultural things to do, including great concerts, many world-class museums and it's close to great outdoor activities. It's also centrally located for day trips up and down the east coast.
