I think we ALL want the borders closed - both Democrats and Republicans on here.
Let's write our Congressmen and Senators.

Is there anyone who doesn't want us to secure our borders?

I would agree that both parties are missing the boat on illegal immigration. Neither party has a good remedy to a growing problem. I'm not sure that closing the border is the answer, either.

One good start will be the President pardoning the 2 border agents. Let them do their job, and we can keep may illegal immigrants out.

You're a tad behind times. It's now official. All borders are going away. As brought to us by Bush while many were distracted with racist bickerings, we are now one Superstate. N.A.F.T.A., as you know, is an economic alliance between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Without Congressional over-site, Bush this winter signed into law a political extension of that agreement in which the three nations are now the new North American "Superstate" called SPP. All borders are to be "streamlined" and eventually eliminated, major new toll highways are already planned to connect all three nations (including the big one eight football fields wide right up through the center of the new Superstate that the King of Spain will hold the lease and profits from), a common currency (eventually, not at first) and common citizenship. Mexico even gets a chunk of Kansas as a staging area for its highway/tollroad management contracts. New eminent domain laws, also brought to us by Bush, will allow these contract holders to take anyone's land they want. This is all fact. Here is the new government's official website: (Hey! Don't shoot the messenger. I'm just reporting the news. Happy Days Are Here Again! Gosh, aren't Republicans just full of good intentions for the working class?!!)

Later: Oh, you HAVE to see this illustration about the new big highway. I just had it e-mailed to me. I can't stop laughing:

Yes, they're pandering to Hispanics in the most disgusting way. I'm Hispanic and I want those borders closed, but many politicians think Hispanics don't care about border control. This is wrong and I feel dissapointed in my government.

Yeah, the people who don't want our borders closed are the people profiting off employing illegal aliens. Until we start prosecuting them and end the demand for low wage laborers, we can't build a fence big enough or an army strong enough to stop the supply of low wage laborers.

Everybody wants secure borders except Big Business Republicans who can use these illegals for very cheap labor. It's more money in the CEO's pockets. The top 1% of the population is again screwing the rest of America and it all starts with BUSH.

Other than making sure terrorists don't slip in (and they rarely come from Canada or Mexico), I'm not that worried about border security. Most of the illegals already get in over the thousands of miles that are impossible to patrol, not at border stops.

It seems like it. My vote would go straight to the person that came up with a plan to close the borders and stop illegal immigration, or at least attemp it (which no one has REALLY done) So whatever party it was they would have my vote in a second if they did this.

The democrats have always pandered to the minority groups and it was expected of them but you are right, the republicans are doing it now. It doesn't matter who you vote for the next election as long they are against open borders and amnesty for the illegals. No more free rides at the expense of legal US citizens via free handouts of our tax money. NO medical, no welfare, no food stamps, no jobs, no housing unless you are here legally.

First of all, California, Texas, etc. were Mexico country until the US stole it after the war. I don't think Americans are taught that fact in school so they embarrassingly clamor "unfair" when talking about illegal immigrants. The other fact that is not taught in school is that America would not have been built into a powerful and wealthy nation if not for slavery and cheap immigrant labor. They will never get rid of cheap immigrant labor. It's a necessity. Politicians just fool you by debating about it.
