I have an exam in physics in june, it's a college level physics, the book is 500 pages and I can't afford to have a private teacher, that means no one is gonna teach me anything, I have to study it all by myself, do you think I can pass the exam that way? is that possible? :D
btw the exam is not easy :)

What else do you have to do during this time? A full time job? Other classes you are taking?
What kind of science/math background do you have? Have you taken a class like physical science or chemistry before? College algebra recently?
Also, is it calculus based physics or algebra based?

If you try and STAY motivated, I'm sure you can do it. Try to find some other students to study with or maybe a teacher (may not be a physics teacher) or some person with a good physics knowledge who you can come to for explanations. Then maybe set up a schedule. I got in A calc-based physics 2 in college without going to class- i just read the entire book and did the homework problems in it by myself (but I also had lab and a great lab teacher which made things easier).

If you're trying to cram 500 pages of physics into 4 months, it's not looking too good for you. It takes time to develop concepts and understanding. It's not as easy as reading a book.

Well, it is possible. It won't be easy but if you are able to concentrate while you read, don't let yourself get stressed out over it, MAKE time to read, and ask questions in the right places (maybe on here) for the things you are having trouble understanding it could help. Also maybe if you have something you are good at you can help someone who is good at physics and in turn they can help you (post something at school).Another thing is maybe there is a study group you can join or form.

Physics is not a very easy subject. You can go to physics professor who is teaching introductory general physics at college and talk to the professor and explain him/her about your situation and ask for permission to let you sit and listen his/her lecture in the class with your promise of being quiet. Usually, the college professors can't stop the person who is willing to learn from learning. Good luck!

ok so heres the deal... you study 150 pages a month and when your done you review everything. set aside time everyday, dont just read when you have time and dont push yourself if you simply read that many pages a month... then you should pass the test

good luck, amanda*8
