I have been asked to coach a youth baseball team and have no real playing experience. I did play backyard baseball and am very familiar with the rules. I just wonder if I have the necessary tools to coach little league.

If you are good with kids and have a decent sense of the game you are fine... Here is a good web page with some great coaching links to get ready > http://bestsportsdirect.com/baseballlinks.html

while in the army i was tasked out to coach youth soccer. I never played and I coached the 7-9 yr olds to second place. Get a league rule book, a coaching guide, and talk to some coaches you should do fine. And it is well worth it
