It is only principle to divorce if the a spouse does not regard the marriage as they regard themselves...Meaning, there is to be no ill treatment...but, you are not to just up and divorce someone without every attempt to work things out...(counseling, time, communication, respect, change...etc.

Read first Corinthians 7

That may help!

No it is not a sin, but you may want to check out those aforementioned Bible verses and discern that answer for yourself. Maybe he needs to live at home to save up all the money you spent so that he can move on independently. From the sound of it, it doesn't seem like you even tried to meet him halfway with this issue, you just wanted it to be all about you so you kept spending money. What are you worried about who he is living with ? Oh that's right less money for you if he is not in the house. His father is being a father first. Get over yourself.

The Bible does not support divorce, although you can interpret verses in many ways.

There are also verses that say basically that no one should come between a man and his wife.

That said , if he wants a divorce you are probably better off without him.

You havent said why he wants the divorce , and thats fine , but he must have a reason , maybe another woman.

Theres plenty in the Bible you can rub his face in if thats what you want.

According to what I have been taught about the Bible, it says that the only grounds for divorce is adultery. Unfortunately, some people make up their own rules in life. Hope you have someone to support you through this. Good Luck and God Bless.

its a sin to divorce and remarry unless there is adultery involved but being a pastor does not mean that you make perfect choices. He may feel the need to support their flesh and blood. My question is whats up that they would support him? It takes 2 to fight.

I think it does say something about that. Divorce only if you messed around on him. It also says something about you taking care of his needs and he taking care of yours unless you and him had an agreement to hold off on love-making while you fast and pray. Try reading first Corinthians chapter 7...

Yes and yes. It is a sin, and no the father should not support his decision, instead he should offer counseling.
