Dumps are for racers who run their car on the street as well as the track. Open them at the track and close them for the drive home. Not only are they super loud, where I'm from it is illegal to have them open when you run on the street.

If i where you i would go ahead and spend the money for the cat back system and the put the dump valves somewhere between the cats and the mufflers. That way there when you have the dumps open it will sound almost like open headers the only difference is you will still have exhaust going through the cats. Putting dumps on will definitely make it a lot louder as long as they are put before the mufflers. You will lose a little gas mileage but who cares. If you are worried about milage all you have to do is close them. hope this helps.

I had the comparable subject on my ninety two gmc. The cat. is whats making you truck no longer so loud. You cant legally eliminate it or intestine it out. yet once you be conscious of somebody who will verify out it your good to flow. in simple terms cut back it off and positioned a flowmaster decrease back in its place. the ideal area of do is positioned a severe bypass race cat on it. Summit racing sells them. in simple terms positioned it interior the situation of your previous cat. it prob. desires it any way. The race cats. dont limit your bypass and dont muffle the sound infrequently in any respect. then you definately positioned a flowmaster in the back of that cat. and you got a overall performance sound.

I'm betting that it will be loud enough for you to get a fix-it ticket.
