The water clogs our pores in the skin... this denies the oxygen to come through.

With the lack of Oxygen, our skin starts to prune..just like your mouth when you sip through a straw for a long time with out taking a breath.

Even though you can't see it, your skin is covered with its own special oil called sebum. Sebum is found on the outermost layer of skin. There's only a particular amount of sebum on your skin at a time and when you spend a long time in the water the sebum is washed away. This allows water to make its way through the outer layer of skin.
There is more water in the shower than there is in your body, so it naturally moves to the place where there is less water - you!

there are two explainations ive always heard.
Your skin breathes, in a way. not like your lungs do, but it does require oxygen. as you sit in the tub, your skin is unable to recieve the air it needs, so it shrivels.
the second, is that our skin absorbs some of the water through osmosis and it causes the cells to expland and therefore gain a raisen like appearance

One word. Osmosis. The skin cells give up water to the tub due to the imbalance in the cells.

You are so silly. I know what you are talking about. You are staying in the water too long. I don't know why it does that!
