A friend of mine and I were talking about starting a program in our area for teenagers. We came up with different aspects for the program including:

Self and Social Awareness
Health
Business (i.e. money management, business skills)
Job Skills
Tutoring to improve scores

Could anyone help on what resources would be helpful? How to go about doing this?

first i would contact your city, to see if they already offer something similar,,,,, ifso you can still develop yours, but if not you might could work with the city to get it organized and for funding...... even if done privately, there are different resources for the funding, from federal and state grants, to fundraising. sometimes grants are geared to a specific teen problem, pregnancy,, truancy,,, drop out rate etc. others can be more general

our local teen center is run at a community park,, some towns /cities run them out of schools,,,,

if your city/town does not have one already, i would suggest checking in nearby cities,,,, act their teen center if they have one,,,,talk with those running it,,,,,, if your city does offer something already, you can still talk with them to see what additional might be needed

a college library should offer books on the subject

best of luck
