You're going to want to look at my sources. here we go.

You're going to have to find out what kind of slots your motherboard has, for a video card could be any of the three. They are "PCI", "AGP", and "PCIe" slots. The first link shows PCI slots in white and AGP slot in dark brown.

The PCIe slot (2nd link) is usually a different color than a PCI slot and about the same size. It will probably have a tab to push to eject the card (the AGP slots have that too sometimes).

Now, figure out what kind of card it is! What would it fit into?

Obviously, an AGP card won't fit into a PCI slot (3rd link). Once you find out which it is, all you have to do it line up the pins to the slot and push it in, straight up. You shouldn't feel any resistance. Don't angle or tilt it, just push it in. You'll be set after that!

Good luck!

Hi. There are two main connection ports for video cards, AGP and PCIe. If your motherboard supports either one the slot should be obvious. Some boards do not support either and the video is built in and not upgradeable.
