I have two large wicker baskets I use to keep my son's toys in. Now that he's pulling himself up he thinks it's the greatest thing in the world to dive headfirst into a basket full of toys, :)
But I'm worried the wicker is going to scratch him or he'll pull the ends off and fray it. Does anyone know a pattern for making a basket liner like the nice lined baskets you can buy at stores? the basket is round about two feet wide and a foot deep. thank you!

Leave it to Martha Stewart to have what you want. LOL The link has instructions with pictures, it's for a rectangular basket, bit you could easily adapt it to fit a different shape.

Put in a piece of cloth, or a paper sack opened up to use as a template. Gather the edge or add a band. Or just keep a towel in it.

I looked around a bit and found this web site that could perhaps tell you how to make a lined basket. Hope it's what you're looking for!
