I believe that, just like with straight people, gay people have various first-time experiences- sometimes it just happens, sometimes there's real romance, sometimes it's all just nitty gritty. But there's probably definitely euphoria, mixed in with all the things anyone feels the first time with sex: nervousness, fear, excitement, curiosity, power- that luscious mixture.
And yes, gay people go on dates like "normal" people. Or, like some straight people, some gay people don't go on dates, but have club/bar hookups, etc., etc..
Basically, anything that might happen to a straight man can happen to a gay man!

sure, gay people have the same experiences as straight people when dealing with having sex for the first time. I think it's just the same as straight people. Dealing with romance, some gay people I know have had a meaningful first time because they were in love, and others saw their virginity as something to get rid of as quickly as possible. It's pretty much the same as straight people....
and yes, plenty of gay people go on dates.

Virginity is a contrust that oppresses women. It has no real meaning, especially in the queer context, but many queer people do have some sort of definition of virginity - whether that be any sexual contact or a specific acts.
Yes, there is the hymen. Most people don't really know what this is. It is a thickening of skin around the opening of the vagina. Most of the time in our modern society, it is stretched or torn during some non-sex activity or during masturbation. Even in the event that it isn't, actual bleeding or tearing of the hymen during penetrative sex is generally because the insertive partner is doing it wrong.
Gay people fall in love. Gay people may go on dates.

Whatever happens in the straight world happens in the gay one. It's just that the gender mix of the participants differs.
