Does anyone have ideas on how to save money for fertility treatments, like IVFm or adoption?
we have done 2 IUI's, one before my surgery to open my fallopian tube and one after (which i will find out if it worked on Valentines day) =) but incase it doesnt work, the dr. wants to do 3-6 more IUI's before moving on. So i figured it would be a good time to start saving money incase those dont work either. Any suggestions on how you got the money for IVF?

we decided to skip the ivf and go straight to adoption. there was no good reason as to why the sperm and egg weren't meeting and implanting, so we decided instead of spending 16k for in ivf we would better spend that on an adoption. the way my dr thinks is if there's at least a 25% chance of pregnancy from an iui then you can choose to move onto ivf after 3-4 iui cycles. we got an equity line to pay for the adoption. also some banks will offer a low interest loan on adoptions. as for the ivf, without insurance coverage we could not find any help. occasionally the drug "fairy" would visit during a cycle at my dr's office, where the nurses would get a free box or two of meds from the drug rep for us, but that was it. we finally had to answer the question as to wether we wanted to be pregnant or parents. and so we chose parents and were blessed with a daughter in less than a month's time. best of luck to you and baby dust.

My wife Mag has a website that helps couples get IVF for much less money, but she also has on her site a link that helps people raise money for their IVF treatment. It's called "connected moms" you can find it on www.myivfalternative.com

I hope this helps you on your journey
