I love them! I love to check the differents designer websites to see what the lastest look will be. I have my own theory, but why do you think so many women are in love with the handbag?

Well since you asked "Em"... we are on the same page only I think it is also what sets us apart from men. Men carry only the basics to survive (in the beginning of time is was a spear, now it's a wallet) but we women carry not only what we need to survive but also what our tribe needs to survive. From there, I think that our "gathering baskets" got prettier and more creative as a sign of status. Also, an interesting thing to note is that somewhere around the 1500s, women stopped carrying their own neccessities, because they never traveled alone and had men to carry their things. Then, following a series of wars and a shortage of men, women began to carry their own personal items in small versions of traveling trunks or carpet bags. Women slowly gained independence from men and the handbag industry exploded following the sufferage movement, when Gucci, Vuitton and Whiting Davis came on the scene.
I love my bags and each one is a unique reflection of my personallity and independence!
