Why does no one like Gary,IN...yes it has problems, and yes its proximity to chicago should be CAPITALIZED on, as I am a GI native I would like the opinions of others or Gary natives as well.

I'm from Gary Indiana and I was there all my life until last year around April. I had to move it was nothing going on there. Seem like businesses open one day and close the next. I couldn't seem to get a foot hold or get anything accomplished living in Gary. I moved to Ohio I am so glad I did. I am doing more and getting more accomplished here than I did in Gary. And I thought I would miss it there but I really don't. It is so many more opportunities here than in Gary.

It's stinky. Every time I drive through there, it smells too industrial. Is that everywhere or just driving on the hwy?
