I am looking for good water fun parks with lots of slides and water rides. Any in San Francisco, Los Angeles or Las Vegas? What are they like? What are their names so I can look them up on yahoo?
Thanks.

Soak City in Buena Park, CA (20mins from LA) The place is rather small, but the rides are newer (a bit cleaner) than any of the water parks around town. Nice fun atmosphere, get there early to get a descent place to sit. You can bring your own chairs and umbrellas and tents too since they have a park-like area.

Raging Waters in San Dimas is big. A lot of teens lurking around. Expect to park far and take a shuttle to the entrance. The water park is a bit older, and try not to bring too much stuff with you, get a locker if you must! I had my towels, my mini cooler, and my sunblock stolen.

Good luck and enjoy!

Las Vegas had a Wet and Wild at one time but it closed up. Now days the big hotels in Vegas like Mandalay Bay, MGM, Monte Carlo, Flamingo, etc. have great pool areas that are like mini-water parks. The best of these is the Mandalay Bay which has a sand beach pool with a wave pool and a lazy river. The Monte Carlo also has a wave pool and lazy river. The Flamingo had a small water slide and a waterfall.

There is a water park next to Magic Mountain that is also a Six Flag park you can get deals for both parks if you spend 2 days.
