I am going to Greece and was wondering what is the cheapest and quickest way to get from Corfu to Ios?

Corfu and Ios are in different areas of Greece. Corfu is in Ioanion Sea (north-western Greece), while the island of Ios is in southern Aegean Sea.
The cheapest way to get from Corfu to Ios would be to get the bus from Corfu to Athens and then take the ferry from Athens (port of Piraeus) to Ios island. Unfortunately this is a long trip and it could take 1-2 days.
The fastest way is by airplane from Corfu to Athens and then by ferry or catamaran from Piraeus to Ios.

Like yiannis said. The problem with cheapest is that it is appreciably slower and doubtful if it is cheaper. From Corfu you have to get a ferry to get across to the mainland and then buses to Athens overnight hotels etc, By plane In an hour to Athens and if you time it right you are on to a boat to Ios on the same day. If you have time on your hands then the ferry-bus etc thing is worth it crossing the country.

Corfu is the North most island of the Ionian sea (west) Ios is in the South of the Aegean Sea (east).

So you can either have it fast (flight to Athens and then fly to Ios) and expensive or cheap (boat to Igoumenitsa then KTEL bus to Athens and then boat to Ios) and god knows when you'll arrive there...

Agree with all of the above. Which ever way you go the time will pass and you will have a wonderful experience. Greece is really neat. Lots of nightlife, and things to do. Food is good too.

Yiannis ans SSR are absolutely right. However, if it is summer and you are a good swimmer and have about a month, you can swim the distance. That would be cheap indeed! Watch out for the Monstrous Meltemi in August.
