Its a simple procedure and you may feel a bit of discomfort from the small incisions, and a blotty feeling, and like gas pains. any other effects probably would be causes from the anesthesia. Iwas only out of work for 2 days and back to work.......

I have had laproscopic surgery at least two times to remove ovarian cysts. Usually I am very sore and it takes a few days to feel normal again. Also, when I urine it causes pain and burning as result of the surgery.

I had this done twice several years back, I guess it can be ok depending upon the level of the need and the way the doctor/anesthetiologist handle it. The first time, it went ok, but did not do the job, they decided they had to try more. i.e., my bleeding got out of control, and i couldnt even stand to walk without an accident. The second time, was with a well known fertility so-called expert, who had me go to one of those little in and out clinics where they do the surgery and wake you and soon as you can say your name, out the door you go to a waiting car. Supposed to save money?? Well, I ended up in a night mare, that night I called with complications and ended up in a REAL emergency room and a total hysterctomy. Problem solved now, except having to wear hormone patches, which isnt a bigee. But relief that it ran in my family and now no worries on that part at least. I feel personally that our country has turned to the in and out clinics for things like this, and its not really saving that much, and not allowing for the differences in us, like for example my case, plus, I have a low tolerance for pain and they sent me home with one eye open from anesthetic and a prescription for vicodan.. NOPE!!! didnt even touch it. But others have breezed through it. I found out later the dr. owned part of that little clinic they do all their procedures at, EVEN total hysterectomys... they just hire a nurse to stay overnight, there is NO blood on hand, i am a rare type, there is no emergency help in place, basically you and the nurse.. if im paying for that??? forget it.. im almost glad i went to the e.r. later. Just check out where and who and their records and dont be afraid to ask and do some more online checking too maybe. I filed a complaint, someone has to have those.. the AMA maybe? Just do your research. it can be ok and save your life, but is also an operation, and they can be serious, even the routine ones. I dont mean to scare you, most go fine. just dont be afraid to ask for any complaint files. And all doctors have a history that can be checked. I trusted him before this. Take care, i will pray it goes ok. Im not usually on this site, so I guess I was meant to be for some reason.Oh, also confirm with them TWICE at least what you are allergic to, they looked right at my wristband where it was written and gave it to me anyway. When they give you any shot, ASK what it is, you are paying girl, you have a right to know. If you get a nurse with an attitude... stop the procedure then and there.. you are paying for it and deserve answers and respect.

I think the more important question is...how does your body take to anasthesia? The pain that results from the incisions will be bareable however, you could get really sick from the anasthesia.
