Works for me.

Try going to Mexico or some other foreign country and demanding that they learn your language just to accommodate you.

First of all, I live in Nashville and I'd invite Schmorgen to come here and see for himself that Nashvillians do indeed speak English and hopefully he would leave here not so judgmental and ignorant to that fact. Having said that, it's a hot topic here. A lot of people are for it and a lot of people are very much against it. I don't think it will make anyone learn English just because the government is "English only." There will be just more people who have no clue what's going on, more people breaking the laws, etc. I think it's better to have people be able to read and understand the laws.

HELL FREAKIN' YEAH! God knows how bad I wish Chicago would do something like that. How annoying is it that I can't take $20 bucks out of an ATM without first choosing my language! This is supposed to be the USA! I shouldn't be seeing foreign language crap everywhere I look! Heck, I've been places and I am totally shocked that only WE let that happen.

This is the USA, where English is spoken.

English IS our language, from way before the time I was born till the time I woke up this morning. We started out under Great Britain (English) control. If you can't learn the language, you can leave the way you came... and take the Liberals with you!!!!
