my rig:
E6300 (using included fan in retail package)
2GB (2 * 1GB) Corsair Dominator PC2-6400
Mobo(Gigabite): Ga-965gm-s2 S775 G965 Matx - Vga-snd+gln+u2 Fsb1066 Sata In
OS:XP PRO SP2

my question is, with this rig, the processor and mobo, can i over clock stably?if so, by how far? i read posts on OC E6300, but i dunno with my rig how the OC will be for me.

is it no good to use the retial fan included from E6300 if i am going to OC beacuse the heat might increase? i have never done it before and i seek advice and help.
thank you

Here's some links. Tom's hardware has good info on overclocking.

What a nice computer, it would be a shame to burn up a CPU in it! I would NOT recommend overclocking. That is the risk you run when you overclock. Unless you are prepared to fork out more $$$ for another CPU DON'T overclock! Overclocking also puts undo pressure on other components on your computer, so a CPU is only one of the parts that might be at risk if you choose to overclock. If you do overclock, you should get a liquid cooling system for the CPU and the mobo. That will cost plenty! You should also get some memory (RAM) that is made especially for overclocking.
