I'm not sure what your operating system is. If it's a fairly recent version of Windows, like XP, I would recommend the following.

1. Make an account on driverguide.com. I realize that it's a PITA that they force you to have an account to download anything, but I gave in and created one, and the drivers I've gotten there over the past year or so have been good.

2. There is no exact match for your serial number, but you can narrow the available drivers down to all the Lite On CD and DVD drives.

3. Download any drivers that:
a. Match your operating system
b. Are "universal"
-AND-
c. Are internal if your drive is internal-- skip USB, firewire, and flash drives
If there are a lot, you can grab the first five or so and try them first. Start with the universal ones and branch out-- maybe your drive was sold under multiple model numbers.

4. Unzip these drivers into a folder.
5. Go to the driver installation in Windows, and when you are prompted for for a driver location, tell Windows to search the folder where you dumped all of your files. It should suggest the "best match" for your hardware from these drivers. If it does not, go to the site and download more drivers.

Another thing to do, if you haven't already, is go to the web site of the place that assembled your computer. That is, if you have a Dell, and the drive shipped with your computer, look on Dell's support site.

the firmware is the driver for it. the company that makes the burnere should have a web site to download the driver but if you use win xp it has alot of drivers built in. just install it and let it automatically install your comp should detect it.
