There is no hard-n-fast rule for this. You may run disk cleanup when you feel that performance/speed of your computer has gone down. That is, as and when you feel a performance issue; you may run it to clean and speed up your computer.

But, keep in mind that disk clean may not speed-up your computer all the time. Your computer's performance is dependent upon other factors as well, take them into consideration as well.

Depends entirely on how much you download and surf on the net. If you have a ton of memory then you should only need to do it once a week. the lower the memory the more frequent you need to perform this clean up. i have my computer to auto clean up every night at 5 a.m.

i oed mine once or twice a week no sense it letting thing build up. if you have plenty of hard drive space it really doesnt matter how often you do it the only point is to free up memory.
