It's not proxy glue. He means epoxy. Epoxy is a two-part adhesive that does not work until the two parts are equally mixed together. You can get five minute epoxy from home depot. You'll have to hold it in place until it cures unless the piece can balance by itself. While it is an extremely strong glue and metalsmiths use it all the time (including me), it may not work in an area that is constantly being opened and closed. If you choose to use it be sure to mix EQUAL amounts of the two parts otherwise the hold may not be as strong. Also, you should sand or score both pieces being glued together. Epoxy doesn't work that well on shiny smooth surfaces. Hopes this helps.

That's how the super-glues do work... it slightly melts the glue and then solidifies again. The handle is going to be tricky because of the heat it's exposed to... the weld will constantly be expanding and contracting. Is it possible to contact the manufacturer for another handle? Overall that would be your best solution. Otherwise, you might try one of the other newer glues called Gorilla Glue... haven't tried it with heated surfaces but everything else has held so far.

go to homeDepot and ask them for a proxy glue (its the strongest stuff out there)...u'll know it is proxy glue (im not sure about spelling) bc it will come in 2 bottles and to use it u have to squeeze out the stuff from the 2 bottles....when the 2 things mix, they bond very well...lot better than super glue
