The phone needs to be unblocked by a phone shop.. its easy & it wont cost too much.
Sounds like you bought a stolen phone which the owner requested to have blocked.

You cannot acquire these free of charge. You have to purchase either an unlocking device, or a code from the service provider it is locked to as they vary for each phone and service provider the phone is locked to. So cool that you can buy 'em on ebay.

nope... they have to call their phone company to ask for a code. if u try to reset it itll lock permanently. jus tell em ta call.
