I think that the role of the husband is the same as the role of the wife basically. A marriage is a partnership, both should put in equal amounts, it should not be a one sided thing, he should go to work and bring his wages home to support the family, not say this is mine and you can have what is left over to keep us all get on with it, as should a woman, if he can't work, he should help round the house, help with the kids, even if he does work he should still help around the house and with the kids, when you get married it is not just yourself you have to think of but that of everyone living in your household, I have been happly married for 20 years, my husband has always brought his wages home, then if after paying bills taken out what is needed for food ect and what is needed for the kids then we get the things we want and this is how it should be, all our money is ours not just his or mine we are a team, we both do equal amounts of everything and one job is not a womans or a mans it is just whoever is there to do it at that time, he would never let any harm come to any of us within his power of course and the same with me, we all look out for each other, we do stuff together as a family and it has worked very well for us. The role of a husband is to be the head of the household and love, protect and support his wife and any children they may have. His role includes treating his wife with respect and as an equal partner so they can better work together to make a happy healthy home, marriage and example for any kids if there are any.

It depends on who you decide to make your husband... there are some who come home from work , cook dinner for the family ,help the kids with home work, walk the dog , and Take the kids to the park.........
THEN there are some that come home strip to the boxers , sit in the recliner , scratch the bawlz ,an pop a fart or two ,and play the traditional games with the kids( pull my finger) while drinking the daily 12 pack There are no guide lines for the role of the husband it is based on who you marry

The role of a husband is a simple one, just as long as you remember these few things.
1) Everything you say is wrong
2)Everything she say's is right
3)Everything you do is wrong
4)Everything she doe's is right.
5)She will remember everything you say and do
6)Shopping is not a waste of time
7)Watching sport is a waste of time
8)She can never have to many shoes
9)You only need two pair
10)Man flu is not a real illness
11)They are your children as well
12)Your mother is a witch
13)Her mother hates you
14)You are to pay for stuff you don't need don't want and can't use
15)You are there to take the blame when something goes wrong
16)You are there to stand by her as she takes all the credit when it goes right
If you can remember these few things you will fulfil the role of husband

Look at your wife once in a while and say, "I'm so glad I married you." And mean it. Tell her her good points, ignore her bad. Love her, and your children (if you have any). Spend time away from work, and time with your family. When you have an argument, apologise and tell her when she was wrong, don't let her walk all over you. But NEVER try to walk over her!
