It's pretty much the same as y=1-3x, where y is the range and x is the domain. Now switch x and y, to get x=1-3y, and solve for y.

You should get:

x=1-3y
x-1=-3y
y=-1/3x+1/3

Is this what you need?

x = (1-f(x))/3
