I trusted this girl... paid for everything spent about 15 grand between supporting her b4 the birth.... during preg. leave, and one year afterwards.... Well i noticed he looked nothing like me, so i did a dna test, and he isnt mine! After all the attachment between me and my family, I feel like I was done wrong. Now she is harassing me, cause i moved on with my life. Im just tired of it and want to know if it is possible for me to take her to court? I was just trying to do the right thing by raiseing him and trusting her. I feel like a jackass now.

She claimed that she didnt know she had sex... she was at a party 2 weeks before was with her. What a lame excuse. How does a woman not know she had sex tehe next day... and realize this was totally out of character for her.

Yes, you can take her to court. You can also sue her for any child support you paid, and possibly the medical bills.
Try not to feel like a jackass. You were doing what you thought was the right thing. That should help you look yourself in the mirror everyday, which is priceless.
Good luck.

There are two things to consider. First, does it really matter who the father is? You spoke of attachment to this child; does that suddenly disappear when it isn't your blood?
Do you have any good feelings towards the mother? Can you work out the relationship? If so, please do. Love is sometimes hard to find, don't compound your mistakes just because of genetics. Of course if the relationship is sinking fast, cut your losses and think about what a wonderful father you could have been for the baby.
As for taking her to court, let the insurance companies worry about the money spent on hospital bills. Your primary focus should be getting your name taken off the birth certificate.

I think you can. You have incurred expenses as a result of her lying. You do have the bills and all, right? You can, depending on the jurisdiction, claim for the pain and suffering. Just remember that damages claimed must not be too remote. Also, you can apply for court order to refrain her from harassing you. Good luck. She sounds like a pest.

honestly i do not know, but i am curious for the answer..legally i would say you should be able to get a judgement against her, with interest starting from when the judgement was awarded, whether you collect or not who knows.
i think if a women does do this they should not only pay back but also damage charges plus interest, on the other hand dna is easy to get now , so if a dna test is done asap then any money or expenses should be reembursed

Wow, she gives us women a bad name. I commend you for doing the right thing though. I'm sure it hurts deeply that you were betrayed like this. I can't even imagine.
I wish I were a lawyer and could give an informative answer to this, but if I were you, I'd seek legal consult and pursue this matter to the fullest. Most lawyers offer free consultations to see if there is a case to pursue.
My condolences and wishing you the best.

Important question - - WHOSE NAME IS ON THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE??? If you are listed as the father, you need to get your name off that document. Check with a lawyer.
What do you want to take her to court for?? Do you want your money back? Maybe you can get it, but you should talk to an attorney.
If you just want her away from you, you can file for a protection order.

Talk to a lawyer but if you can prove she knew it wasn't yours all along then you can sue her for fraud.
