I think the logical choice would be free health care to US Citizens.
I mean, look what space missions are doing to astronauts...it's making them crazy, wearing diapers while driving!
Seriously. Let NASA get their funds from the PRIVATE sector, and lets kick this country in the nuts and make it great again..... who's with me?....ok, now what to do?

Actually, I see no reason why we can't have both. I do believe that every U.S. citizen is entitled to basic health care at state-run clinics and hospitals. I also believe that the space program has contributed greatly to society in general and that it should continue to be supported. There is no real reason why the United States cannot pay for both.

Rather than giving up NASA, how about getting rid of the Department of Education? What business does the U.S. government have telling local school districts how and what to teach? Or, how about consolidating all of the different federal intelligence and law enforcement agencies into one department, such as what was supposed to have happened with the Department of Homeland Security? Does every single federal department really need its own specific law enforcement officials? Or, how about trimming the extremely overpopulated White House staff? Does every single White House official really need his/her own staff of aides, many of whom themselves also have aides?

So, you see, there are plenty of other things that could be cut from federal spending to allow for basic health care and NASA to co-exist.

Personally neither....first it is NOT the federal governments responsibility to provide health care it is however the state governments responsibility. Heck, MA set it up for state wide coverage so the rest of the states can do the same. I know they whine about money money money but perhaps they should take a look at all the pork barrel projects they keep feeding their special interest groups?

Just because its free, doesn't mean it's good. Furthermore, whose going to pay the doctors. How are they going to make a living? How are they going to support their familes? How are they going to buy their expensive cars? Their expensive homes? How are those pay who design, build, and transport cars going to make a living? Support their familes? How are architects going to make a living, support their familes? How are construction workers going to make a living, support their familes? Where are they going to live if they can't make income? In caves? on the street? Why is it patients from around the world come to America when they can get free health care in places like Canada? Why don't they go there? How is that Canadian doctors send their patients to America for treatment when they can get the same treatment in Canada for free?

can't have adequate health care.....that would mean people would live longer, and not only will that cause over population, but the government/state, wouldn't get the social security money from the people who make it to the age to draw, then die a couple of years later because they can't afford medication and doctor's fees....why do you think they raised the age from 65 to 72 to draw full benefits, cause' they hope you kick the bucket before that, they get the $$$, not the families of them......
