Who else was surprised to learn that Alex was Bens daughter? I am thinking that they took her from Russo and raised her. That clockwork orange room that had her boyfriend in it must have been where they put Micheal to brainwash him.

Well, obviously not Sawyer. What I really wasn't expecting, was for Ben to wake up during surgery.
And when Julie was looking at the sonograms, I thought it was interesting that she chose to mention that they were "human" wombs. Maybe they just work with animals. But I was thinking more on the lines of some of the others not being human -- maybe alien. Then I saw the room where Kate and Sawyer helped Alex save her brother, and the seemingly subliminal video with the loud, weird sound affects (which probably used to break them down). Maybe the Others were genetically altering some of the previous Survivors to the point where they are no longer considered human -- like how the Survivors differentiate the Survivors and the Others.
I don't think Micael was brainwashed. He was just tired of the island and all the games and threats. He was just pushed to the point where he felt that getting himself and his son off the island and back home, was the only thing that mattered. You could say that he was pushed to the point where he became an Other.
I especially liked the ending. It showed that Julie (an Other) and Jack (a Survivor) were both pawns under Ben's control (he finds a way to hold power over them). It appears that the line between being an Other and a Survivor is thinning. Maybe all of the Others where once Survivors, but now Ben's pawns. Maybe Ben is a pawn to an even higher power.

P.S. -- Did you recognize who came to take Julie to the island. The one to her right was the first Other that was introduced on the show.

The timeline for her being Ben's daughter doesn't really make sense (yet). What I want to know is where the hell are all the kids that should be with the others. We know they took at least two from the tailies and yet we haven't seen them anywhere yet. You had to know that the ex was going to be hit by a bus as soon as she said that....
And where the hell is Michael???

It was a great episode tonight and 15 more consecutive ones to follow -- hurray!
I think an even bigger surprise was when the bus ran over Juliet's ex-husband! Who would have thought that the company who wanted to hire her would take her every word so literally? Hope she doesn't talk in her sleep!

I think she is Russos daughter, she was taken as a baby. I think they just lied to her. They seem to want kids. They took all the kids from the crash first.

I was disappointed, have been for some time. I think I can live without knowing what is going on. I think we have let ourselves be manipulated long enough.
