This prediction does not necessarily mean that this is the outcome I want. It's simply what I see shaping up for the future, whether I like it or not, or whether you do either. Whereas I have strong reservations about our nation being under Hillary's thumb, I have great hopes for Obama as a future president, if his political credibility survives being associated with the excesses of a 2nd Clinton era.

I have a modest record of correct predictions, with my prediction of the 2004 Christmas tsunami being the major one so far. About 13 hours before the tsunami struck, I posted my prediction on the Surfing the Apocalypse website.

I am pretty sure that Senator Clinton will be our next President and having Senator Obama on the ticket will just make it a landslide win.

I seriously doubt the Democrats would take the risk of nominating a woman and a black at the same time. Such a combination is sure to fail.
I also doubt that Obama will win the nomination in 2008. Even if he is offered the 2nd position by Hillary Clinton (or anyone else), he will turn it down for exactly the same reason why John F Kennedy turned it down in 1956--he would not want to be blamed for the party's loss.
Kennedy did not run in 1956, and in 1960 he won. I imagine Obama would rather wait until 2012 or even 2016 rather than risk the loser's tag in 2008.

Both Hillary and Obama got in real early and have the early lead. Remember Howard Dean? Crunch time isn't for over a year and a lot can happen between now and then.
Obama will give good chase. He has star power. Hillary has major baggage, not the least of which is the status of her marriage. You hardly see Bill and Hill together. Will Hillary promote the "two for the price of one" deal?
My prediction is that Hillary and Obama split the vote and Gore comes up the middle in the 4th quarter.

Not that I'm the biggest Hillary fan and not that I don't like her either.....but these two individuals represent and appeal to 2 of the biggest pools of non-voters in the U.S.
African Americans and Single Females are the 2 biggest pools of non-voters. If the last election was 51%-49% in the Republicans favor, Will the Republicans stand a chance running against these two in 08 with the potential of having these two pools of "non-voters" draining there votes into there ticket... personally I believe not.

I'd definitely back Obama over Hillary. Hillary is a hawk who supports Bush's military goals. She even falsely linked 9/11 and the War in Iraq recently in the same way the Bush admin does. Obama recently backed an escalation position.
The last major election was about change in Iraq. The majority of the people voted against the president's stay the course policy. It looks like Obama is starting to take that to heart, while Hillary is not.

Being under Hillary's thumb (I prefer wing) would allow Barack Obama to write his our ticket. I also believe he would accomplish more for America then any previous Vice President.

Interested but far from convinced. I don't think the Dems want to try to break 2 barriers in 1 election. I also think that after the primaries are over, they will hate each other so much that they won't be able to be in the same room.

Hillary wants to be President , so I don't see her running as vice president. I should hope OBama has better sense then to run under Hilliary. The witch would destroy him politically.

I don't believe Obama will run with her. I think he'll keep the millions he will amass during the campaign and use it for a future run.
With his limited experience being VP will not help Obama but will hinder him. It will keep him in her shadows and prevent him from being in a position to effect any real policy or change.
I never expected Obama to be seriously running as a candidate, just picking up a few million for his campaign coffers.

IF they run we will beat them. They are both polarizing figures.
Hillary will find all sorts of skeletons in Obama's closet that not even Oprah can save him from the wrath of Hillary!
