Sounds like your battery needs more cold cranking amps, so that you can handle the cold weather.
GOOD LUCK.

Chances are you may have two problems, the battery and the alternator. First look at the battery connections and make sure they are clean. If they’re clean then check the battery. The Average lifespan of a battery a 4-5yrs, if it’s older than that then you should just change the battery. Now for the alternator, if when you jump the car and the car shuts off as soon as you take the cables off, you need an alternator. If the battery light is on in the dashboard then you probably need the alternator. Start with the battery first and then check the alternator after that.

most likely it is the battery cold kills batteries. it could also be the starter going out because they pull more power when they do, but if that is the case the starter would have fried your battery by now anyway so i would replace it with a new one and see what happens. it should fix the problem, if it is the starter and it messes up the new battery most come with at least a year warranty so you can replace it. it could not be the alternator or you car would die it wouldnt stay running it is what provide the power for your car to run. i would replace the battery asap because with those three thing one bad will quickly destroy the others

Well it is a gamble without looking at it. Right now it is like a football game. Do i put money on the battery or the alternator? Could be either or so you need to take it in okay? Take it to Sears that is your best bet. Just ask them? Okay let me put my bet down. If i guess it you have to give me best answer. I am going to bet..... battery.

make sure you check the connections on the battery,
replace the battery then test the alternator, the alternator should be putting out about 13.9 to around 14.5 volts, if it isnt putting out at least 13.9v then you should also replace the alternator.
good luck!

more than likely your battery is dead. if you replace the battery and it still goes dead then you probably have something grounding out or draining the battery (0ther than cold) on most modern cars if your alternator goes bad..your not starting the car until you fix it.

Your alternator is dead, or your battery connections are corroded or not making enough contact.
